Running

I started running in college and have had a love/hate relationship with it ever since. Growing up I played tennis but after a few years with ankle issues, to say the least, I had to find another excercise activity. In came running. It's one of those excercises where you know you are getting a good work out and if you prepare well mentally.. and on your ipod.. it can be very enjoyable.

In college I worked myself up to 2 mile long runs and have stayed pretty consistant over the years. This year I cheered on my cousin who ran the NYC marathon.
Yay Meg!
Anyways, after watching Meg along with one of the Chilean miners run 26.2 miles, I knew I wanted to commit to a race and beat my 2 mile limit.
I signed up for the Richmond 10K run and committed to a training plan. However, I found out a week into training that a family baby shower was planned for the same day as my race. Family comes first of course :)

Hopefully I will find some more races near by to sign up for.
